Can an Indian Marry a Thai Girl?

Indian Embassy in Bangkok Affidavits

If you are an Indian national looking to marry a Thai girl in Thailand, the Indian embassy in Bangkok is now providing affidavits for this purpose. However, it is important to note that only a few Thai Registry offices are willing to register Indian nationals for marriage. At My Thai Love, we work closely with these offices whenever possible.

Required Documents

To obtain the affidavit, you will need to submit a Bachelorhood Affidavit from Competent Courts in India, along with a photocopy. This affidavit must be attested by the Consular Section, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Additionally, you will need to provide your original passport along with photocopies of all pages of personal particulars and your current visa page.

Embassy Processing Time and Fees

The processing time for the affidavit is three working days. The fee for the affidavit is Baht 900, along with a service charge of Baht 70.

Contacting the Embassy

It is highly recommended that couples contact the Indian embassy in Bangkok directly to inquire about any updates or questions related to acquiring the affidavits. Making a good first impression with the embassy is crucial to ensure a smooth process.
