Most Popular Racket Sport

Table Tennis is the most popular racket sport globally, with 226 associations from different countries and territories affiliated with the International Table Tennis Federation. It is the second most participated sport with around 10 million players competing in sanctioned tournaments every year.

More than 1,600 varieties of Table Tennis Rubbers

Players in Table Tennis tournaments are only allowed to use authorized racket coverings, known as rubbers. Surprisingly, there are over 1,600 varieties of Table Tennis rubbers on the authorized list.

Origins and Olympics

Table Tennis originated in England as an after-dinner parlor game among the upper class. It was introduced to the Olympics in 1988 and has been a part of the games ever since.
